Every­one par­tic­i­pat­ing in a LEGO SERIOUS PLAY work­shop is active­ly and per­son­al­ly engaged. This requires a detailed, sys­tem­at­ic and com­pre­hen­sive facil­i­ta­tion which also has to take the avail­able time and the desired approach into con­sid­er­a­tion.

To get the best out­come and the opti­mal expe­ri­ence from a LEGO SERIOUS PLAY work­shop for every­one involved, we con­sid­er 12 par­tic­i­pants for one facil­i­ta­tor as the upper lim­it. In our expe­ri­ence, more than 12 par­tic­i­pants make the work­shop less effec­tive in case you have only one facil­i­ta­tor.

Of course, LEGO SERIOUS PLAY Work­shops can be run with a high num­ber of par­tic­i­pants; how­ev­er, they’d require a dif­fer­ent set­ting. There are two options:

• Adapt the approach and the desired out­put of the work­shop to a “large audi­ence work­shop”
• Add one or two facil­i­ta­tors (depend­ing on group size and expect­ed out­come) and adapt the con­cept of the work­shop to a “sub­group work­shops”, con­dens­ing the results even fur­ther

LEGO SERIOUS PLAY work­shops can vary in type and dura­tion, each deliv­er­ing dif­fer­ent out­comes.

• 2 hours, e.g. “teas­er”, “warm-up” or “open­er”
• ½ day (4 hours), e.g. com­mu­ni­ca­tion fos­ter­ing
• 1 day (8 hours), full day themed work­shop
• 1,5 –2 days (12–16 hours), full strat­e­gy work­shop

As a rule of thumb, required time and expect­ed out­come depend on the group size as well on the top­ic. Please con­tact us for advice.

LEGO SERIOUS  PLAY  sets  are  specif­i­cal­ly  com­posed  by  LEGO®  for  the  sole  use  of  LEGO SERIOUS  PLAY  facil­i­ta­tors, using spe­cial­ly select­ed bricks. There are dif­fer­ent types of sets, which are used in func­tion of the type of work­shop, and vary­ing in size and com­plex­i­ty.

Once used dur­ing the work­shop, sets are mixed with oth­er LEGO mate­r­i­al, and thus can be used for one work­shop only. Re-sort­ing and select­ing these sets takes a very long time, which we have to take into cal­cu­la­tion.

We are based in Stuttgart with part­ners based in Ghent (Bel­gium) and Lux­em­bourg. Our, as well our part­ners’ fees com­prise a max­i­mum of 2 hours over­all trav­el time. In case of longer trav­el, 75 EUR/hour* will be added per facil­i­ta­tor.

In case of trav­el­ling by car, trav­el costs of 0.50 EUR/km* will be added, oth­er means of trans­porta­tions will be invoiced at buy­ing price. This also applies to overnight stays, which we may opt for, depend­ing on the loca­tion, dura­tion of the work­shop and required trav­el time.

Fees of loca­tion (hotel, con­ven­tion cen­ter…) and cater­ing are not includ­ed in our cal­cu­la­tion.

As a spe­cial add-on all par­tic­i­pants may receive a Stein­beis-cer­tifi­cate issued by Stein­beis Con­sult­ing Cen­ter Inter­cul­tur­al Acad­e­my.

Rates are an indi­ca­tion only, and include an intake meet­ing with the project spon­sors, prepa­ra­tion time, usu­al­ly some trav­el time, work­shop facil­i­ta­tion and fol­low-up. A tai­lor made, def­i­nite cost esti­mate will be estab­lished in func­tion of the spec­i­fi­ca­tion of the project by our part­ners.
